Properties And Applications

A metal-cored welding wire that provides excellent welding performance in both short-circuiting and spray arc metal transfer modes. It offers high toughness and notch impact resistance at temperatures down to -50°C. When used with mixed shielding gases, it produces virtually spatter-free welding in spray arc transfer mode. Its excellent arc ignition characteristics make it particularly suitable for robotic welding applications. The wire delivers high welding speeds and high deposition rates while ensuring excellent fusion to the base metal and minimizing the risk of lack of fusion defects. Weld beads exhibit a smooth, finely rippled appearance. It provides reliable welding performance with minimal weld defects even on rusty or contaminated base materials. Due to the formation of only a small amount of silicate residue on the weld surface, multi-pass welding can be performed with little or no interpass cleaning. Its easily controllable weld pool in short-circuiting transfer mode makes it especially suitable for root pass welding and gap-bridging applications.
